CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
What is Clinical Psychology?
Clinical Psychologists are trained to assess, diagnose and treat people who deals with a wide range of psychological distress. This includes various emotional and life challenges, mental health problems, as well as psychiatric disorders. Treatment is in the form of psychotherapy sessions, where we address your emotional challenges by talking, rather than using medication. Where indicated, should medication be necessary, Marina works closely with a team of Psychiatrists, to whom she will then refer, whilst continuing with psychotherapy sessions.
Individual Adult Psychotherapy
The journey of learning about oneself, of processing difficulties and trauma can, at times, be uncomfortable and painful. However, with this comes growth and insight that can provide you with a sense of empowerment, fulfilment, and renewed energy. In fact, such a journey can offer immense rewards, such as to unlock your potential and evolve into your true self. Being very aware of the fact that bringing one’s innermost fears, difficulties and traumatic experiences to the therapy room is not always easy, building a trusting relationship with her client and creating a safe space to work in, is of utmost importance to Marina. As a therapist, this quote by Terence really resonates with her: “I am human; let nothing human be alien to me.”
Whether you are in crisis, struggling to cope with a traumatic experience, or whether you simply want to learn more about yourself, as a trained Clinical Psychologist Marina is able to facilitate this process for you.
